Fallow & Blade Studio is Andrew Farran's web design practice, based in St Lucia, Brisbane.

Background

Andrew spent twenty years working in and around technology: from multimedia at university to building trading systems and the tooling that surrounds them. Fallow & Blade Studio applies that technical depth to websites for professional services firms, trades businesses, and academics who need a site that earns trust from the first look.

What I do, and why

The studio designs and builds static websites, researched and structured for the client's specific audience before anything is styled or coded. There are no pre-cut templates here: every site starts with the client's objectives, their visitors, their competitors, and what earns trust in their specific sector.

Every site is built in Astro and hosted on Cloudflare Pages: static by default, fast by default, and inexpensive to run for the life of the business. No ecommerce, no CMS, no animation-heavy work. If a brief falls outside that scope, I will say so in the first conversation.
